Homeschooling adventures on the funny farm
Welcome to our "classroom", I use the term loosely, because we don't have one and we make the world our classroom! Join us for our hilariously chaotic version of learning together!

Our rebel approach to learning
We approach school in an easygoing way because not everything has to be hard to be beneficial. I do not like the traditional public school system, so why would I try to replicate it at home? We do very little sit-down desk work, choosing to practice reading and math through engaging online games, conversations, and living everyday life together as a family.

Learning just how little shit I actually know.
Every time my daughter asks me a well thought out question, I have to stop and think; and realize, I don't know shit! Digging into finding the answers has bonded us together, but also made me realize that there are a lot of answers I wasn't taught in public school. Together, we research the question, find the answers and build our knowledge around it.

Real life skills, laughter, and muddy boots
Our days are full of life lessons—from baking in the kitchen and building wild marble runs to fun field trips and tending to our funny farm critters. We have experienced the joys of hatching fluffy chickies and being a part of foal births, as well as navigating the harder emotions of animal loss. Expect mostly moral support, belly laughs, and a few hands-on homestead projects to help you create a loving environment for your family without getting burnt out yourself!
Back to school; Seriously?!
Am I the only mother who cannot seem to get their shit together? I'm chronically late for EVERYTHING and I'm starting to lose my mind. I always think I'm making excellent time, and then realize I needed to leave about 10 minutes ago; and I just can't!
I see these other homeschool moms who seem to have the perfect support system, schedules and routines galour, the hair done, kids dressed to the 9's, early for everything... and then I show up, late and usually covered in horse shit and mud. Sometimes I show up clean and organized; but like, not often. Am I doing something wrong?! I started homeschooling, partly, because I wanted to avoid the rat race in the morning, but, am I honestly avoiding it if I'm comparing myself to other moms who are better at scheduling? I'm starting to question my sanity,
